TRT is appropriate for men with symptoms of low testosterone confirmed by lab testing, not by symptoms alone. Fatigue, low libido, difficulty building muscle, poor recovery, brain fog, and low mood can all point to low testosterone, but they overlap with other conditions, which is why a lab-first evaluation matters.
Candidacy is typically established with two morning total-testosterone draws alongside a symptom review, and your provider also screens for reasons to hold off. Men with a history of prostate cancer, untreated sleep apnea, or active plans for fertility need individualized guidance before starting, and fertility-preserving options are discussed when relevant. If TRT is not the right fit, we tell you and outline the alternatives.
Common symptoms we evaluate:
- Persistent fatigue or low energy
- Reduced libido or sexual performance
- Loss of muscle or strength
- Increased body fat, especially midsection
- Brain fog or poor concentration
- Low mood, irritability, or motivation
- Poor sleep or reduced recovery
- Reduced exercise tolerance
